Privacy Policy
THE SHORT VERSION
We collect only what we need to help you, we never sell your data, and we never share your mobile phone number or text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing. You can reach us anytime at hello@kokenlabs.ai.
This Privacy Policy explains how Koken Labs (operated by KOKEN HOME LLC, "Koken Labs," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit kokenlabs.ai, contact us, book a call, or communicate with us by text message. By using our website or services, you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly and a limited amount of technical information collected automatically.
- Information you provide. Your name, email address, phone number (if you choose to give it), the name and type of your business, and the contents of any message, form, or booking you send us.
- Communications. Records of emails, text messages, and calls between you and Koken Labs, so we can respond and keep track of our conversation.
- Automatic technical data. Basic technical request data (such as pages requested and general device/browser type) processed by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, to deliver and secure the site. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles. Analytics on our homepage is covered in its own section below and runs only if you accept it.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and provide the services you request.
- To schedule, confirm, and remind you about calls, appointments, and bookings.
- To send account and service notifications related to work we are doing for you.
- To provide customer care and reply to messages you send us.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Mobile / SMS messaging privacy
If you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages from Koken Labs, we use it only to send the message types you opted in to: appointment and booking reminders, account and service notifications, and customer-care replies. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. The phone numbers and consent you provide for text messaging are never sold, rented, or shared for anyone else's marketing.
The only parties that ever handle your mobile information are the service providers who help us actually send and deliver the messages (for example, our messaging platform and telecommunications carriers), and only for the purpose of delivering the texts you asked for. You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. See our SMS/Text Messaging Terms for full details.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited situations:
- Service providers. Trusted vendors who help us run our business (for example, scheduling, email, messaging, and hosting providers), who may use it only to perform services for us.
- Legal reasons. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Koken Labs or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
As stated above, mobile phone numbers and text-messaging consent are excluded from all sharing except with the providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages you requested, and are never shared for third-party marketing.
Cookies and analytics
Our site does not use advertising trackers and does not set advertising cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic technical request data in order to deliver and secure the site. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, on our homepage, and only if you accept it (see the next section). Cloudflare Web Analytics also runs on every page of kokenlabs.ai, without cookies or local storage and without collecting your personal data, to show us overall page views, visits and how quickly our pages load. Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings.
Analytics on our homepage
We use Google Analytics 4 on our homepage to see which parts of the page are useful and what we should improve. We load it through Google Tag Manager, a Google tool that lets us manage our analytics tags in one place. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics run only after you press Accept on the cookie choice at the bottom of the page. If you press Decline, or you have not made a choice yet, neither is loaded and nothing is sent to Google.
If you accept, Google Analytics records:
- The pages you view and how you move around the homepage.
- Clicks on buttons and links, such as the "Book a free call" buttons and our email address.
- Which business tab or quiz result you choose.
- Your approximate location, worked out from your IP address, and the type of device and browser you use.
- The page you came from, including any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm tags).
We never send your name, email address, phone number, or anything you type into a form to Google. When you send us a message, Google Analytics learns only that a message was sent, along with the business type and topic you picked from the menus.
After you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser, _ga and _ga_T2ZTR8ZES1. They help it recognize your browser from one visit to the next and keep a visit together. Without your acceptance they are not set. We save your choice in your browser's local storage so we do not keep asking.
You can change your mind at any time. Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the homepage and press Decline. That stops the analytics and removes those two cookies from your browser. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings.
Google Tag Manager only loads the tags we configure in it, and today that is Google Analytics. Google processes this data on our behalf. How Google handles information is described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide our services, maintain our records, and meet legal requirements, then delete or anonymize it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you if a significant issue arises.
Your choices and rights
- Email: unsubscribe using the link in any email, or ask us to remove you.
- Text messages: reply STOP to opt out at any time.
- Access and deletion: email hello@kokenlabs.ai to ask what we hold about you or to request deletion, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
